This individual conversed with Coe for several hours concerning personnel of the Military Government School at Shrivingham, England and the content of the course, at which time his comments indicated to & close knowledge of the school, He stated the ; indiviual conversed freely concerning many subjects and impressed hin withhis brilliance and apparent inside knowledge of , political and international affairs en questioned as to specific subjects of conversation, ‘ieenin stated he could not recall them other than his favorable comments concerning General RIDGEWAY's assumption of command of the Armed Foroes OTreaie - . . . stated he has lost all contact with members of the Military Government School and did not recall the location of any of the personnel in attendance, thus could not have possibly furnished BURGESS with any such information. He stated it was not until the newspapers ‘ published pictures of MACLEAN and BURGESS that he was aware of BURGESS! true identity, as he had registered under an assumed NAME» -—séBoth 4 and qunieiiiagiay advised the registration cards for guests are filed alphabetically by name rather than by date of registration, hence when BURGESS used an assumed name, the card could not then be located, there be approximately 5,000 cards on file.
