This anonymous communication purports to gtve infor- mation to the Cardinal to the effect that tn 2955 a book will] ti be published at Girard, ZXansas, vilifying the Ca as the Church generally. The Cardinal requeate ln discuss this matter with SAC Kelly. The Bureau's help wos requested to deteraine: (1) whether in fact such a book is contemplated; (2) the name of the author; (3) whatever infor- mation the Bureau can provide to the Cardinal's office regarding the author of the book, the thought in mind betng that, upon publicdtion of this book, should the author have a Communist or unsavory background, this tnformatton could be Placed where it would do the most good in explaining the author's notives.
