Happily there is a growing awareness in our country of these basic needs of people. This housing project is one evidence of that awareness. The Cornelius J. Drew Houses is a tribute to the public housing programs of our City and State. Public housing under the Federal, State and City programs, helps fill the need for decent dwellings for many of our fellow Americans of all races, creeds and colors, and, therefore, deserves the approval and the encouragement of all our citizens.
