problems of housing, employment and education. This is the challenge
which 1963 has set squarely before us and it must af all costs be faced and
solved.
Our Negro brother wants more than a house in America. He
wants a home in America. He wishes to feel at home here. He belongs
fully to America and he wants to feel fully accepted here, Until his
desires are fulfilled none of us can be assured of the blessings of liberty
for ourselves and our posterity.
America has met her problems in the past, and has met them
successfully and without turmoll. We must believe that she will meet this
problem and that it too will be successfully resolved.
May we, through our cooperative efforts and our humble prayers,
beseech Almighty God, the Creator and the loving Father of all peoples —
and all races, to hasten the day when in our beloved land liberty end .
justice wil! prevail for al! men.
