they are not presenting themselves. Even if we
were concerned merely with the welfare of our
own, we would be—we are—doing a poor job, for
there are 700 Catholics attending chis university.
But we sbould not be concerned merely wich the
welfare of our own: we have s responsability far
beyond our own selfish interests. By the very

as ne others do, chat we feel obligared before God
and man to serve, with loving solicitude, al] Amer-

olica, numbering one-fifch of the taxpayers of the
country, paid for approsimately 20% of this,
which amounts wo $603,270,221. And this is in
addition to the $203,2/0,000 cher Catholics gen-

high achocls, and elementary schools.
If we neglect. to provide our share of teachers
and to show an sctive, continuing concern in ose-
