seen “mostly characters" hanving around the Abco
premises in West New York, which he admitted visiting
frequently. He related how Sergeant CROSWELL stopped >
his intercession attempts by showing him GALANTE's
extensive crimitiual record. He then said the bantering
between himeelf and Sergeant CROSWELL began."

" JOSEPH HARRISON, NJLEC Chairman, ended the
two-day public hearings in the Jersey aspects of the
gangland meeting at Apalachin, New York. He said he
would send transcripts of testimony to prosecutors
in both states for possible perjury investigdion.'
In the "New York Times" edition of January 10,
1958, an article appeared deseribing the testimony
of JOHN T, CUSACK, District Supervisor of the Federal
Bureau of Narcotics. Mr. CUSACh testified as to his
opinions regarding the reason for the meeting at
Apalachin, New York on November 14, 1957. He also
offered a theory for the recent murder of ALBERT
ANASTASIA in New York and named two men suspected
