1958, an article appeared describing the testimony Loe
of JOHN T. CUSACK, District Supervisor of the Federal.
Bureau of Narcotiss; Mr. CUSACK testified as to his
' opinions regarding the reason for the meeting at ©
Apalachin, New York, on November 14, 1957. He also
offered a theory for the recent murder of ALBERT
ANASTASIA in New York and named two men suspected d&
the responsibility of the 1953 assassination of CARLO
TRESCA, anti-Fascist editor,
He identified CARMINE GALANTE as the reputed
slayer of TRESCA and stated that GALANTE was now

Attorney EDWARD S. SILVER. FRANK GAROFALO was listed
as the one who had ordered TRESCA's killing.
In the "Herald--Tribune" edition-of January 10,
1958, CUSACK was quoted as saying, "FRANK GAROFALO is
mentioned in the Bureau of Narcotics files in association
with the late WILLY MORETTI and the late ABRAHAM DAVIDIAN, -
