RUTHERFORD also claims the invention of, although not the patent for, the front end drive utilized by the now defunct Cord Automobile Company of England, the gear driven airplane propeller, and the bullet-proof or non-inflammable airplane gasoline tank.. Some of the patented items have gone into actual production.
