J. : . NUREINER, N. S. HARZENSTED, W. B. CALDWELL, and G. P. POPP - & of this office. Although the meeting was scheduled to begin i x at 8:30 p.n., the Arena was filled to capacity at 7:00 p.m., 4 . and by 8:30 p.m., there were about five thousand people listen- “>: f ” ing to a loud speaker in an adjoining lot and in the streets. y | L the speakers made quite a point of the fact that the national radio companies had refused the facilities of their broadcasting systems for a nation-wide broadcast of the meot- ing and stated that everything possible was being done to pre- vent the Anerica Pirst Committes from nraseantine their views oe See ee VN eS See ee SS ee, Tee See to the Auerican people. The Acents observed no disorders or fights, and the meeting was orderly, though enthusiastic. The crowd cheered the talks given by LINDBERGH, Sena- tor WALSH and KATHLEE KORRIS, and each time the President's name was mentioned a loud boo went up from the crowd.
