Colonel J. T. Bissell of MID advised the writer that tr. meme

Golonel Bissell stated that shortly after this plan was received
the Germans appeared with a self-senling gas tank for airplanss
at the time when the United States Army Air Corps had no such
* apparatus.
Colonel Bissell stated that MID had investigated this
matter and has come to the onclusion that Colonel Lindbergh re-
ceived the plane bot that no record is ¢ ontained at the present time
in the War Department files. He stated that the Air Corpse hes
written to Lindbergh request the plans or an ¢ ©
the disposition of then.
Colonel Bissell advised that he was reporting this for
the information of the Bureau.
