that on January 16 the office of the America First Comittee was ~
opened on Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, and it was -
observed that the autazobile of Dr. Georg Gyssling, German Consul
was parked in front of the building during that day. The informant
related that thie car had never been seen there previously and has
not been seen there since that tias. ,
The America First Committees has published s an enoracns
amount of propagands literature concerning the aims of the Can-
mittee and has circulated this literature throughout the Daited
States. The apparent object of the Literature is to crystallize
Anerican opinion te prevent the entrance of the United States into
Zuropean wars aud to willify the foreign affaires progran ef
President Roosevelt. The numerous pamphlets published by the.
Conmittee state that 86% of the people of the United States are
opposed to the United States intervening in foreign wars. These
peaphlets fail to make any explun:tion as to how the figure of 963
was arrived at. This literature also makes an appeal to American
mothers to aid the Comzittee for the ;urpose of preventing i]
