Police tnvestigating the Sharon
Tate murders have learned that one
of the victims had a history of en-
gaging in acts.of sadism with young
women and that two others were
known narcotics users, a defense at-
torney in the ease said Wednesday.
Paul J. Fitzgerald made the claims
in a declaration filed with Superior
Judge Charles H. Older.
The attorney is defending Patricia
Krenwinkel, ‘who, along with hippie
ers, was' indicted for conspiracy and
murder in the Tate slayings.
Fitzgerald sought a court order to
permit him to inspect any police or
prosecution statements relating to
the habits of hair stylist Jay Se-
bring, Polish playboy “Wojiciech
(Voityck) Frykowski and coffee hei-
ress Abigail Folger. ;
He also asked to see the results of
suspects in the case.
Without an order from Older, Dep.
Dist. Attys. Aaron H. Stovitz and
Vincent T. Bugliosi, who are prose-
cuting Miss Krenwinkel and her co-
defendants, agreed to let Fitzgerald
inspect the documents listed in his
discovery motion.
Fitzgerald asked that. he be per-
mitted to read.all purported data re-
lating to:
—Sebring's alleged acts of sadism
with women in his Hollywood Hills
home and "in particiilar his. conduct
in regard to bizarre sexual activity"
and use of "force and torture in. con-
nection with ropes arid. hoods."
—The alleged narcotics activities
of Frykowski and Miss. Folger, (Fitz-
gerald said tests made aiter their
deaths revealed the presence of
drugs in their blood.)
—Several persons who had been
