On June 15, 1956, and June 18, 1956, the Government argued in opposition to defendants motion for a directed verdict. United States District Judge BICKS © granted a defense motion to strike Government exhibits 138 and 160 (warrant for the arrest of defendant JACKSON and FEI Identification Record on JACKSON, respectively). On June 18, 1956, United States Distric Judge BICKS granted the motion for directed verdict of acquittal for defendant BACHRACH on the ground that the evidence was insufficient to sustain a conviction. At the same time he denied motions for directed verdicts of acquittal for the other six defendants.
