Particularly outstanding wore the contributions of Negro women comrades, espocially from the South. "POSTER'S contributions to our Party's undcr- stonding of the woman qucstion likewise helped to com- bat blatant malc-supremacist attitudes in our Party and progressive circlos., More than over-caution, however, is still prevalent among many ncn comradcs when this question criscs, in relation to thoir own weaknessos. This situation has, however, lcd to a growing sclf- criticism of many of our male comrades and Party lecder- ships as regards the woman question. An important derivative of FOSTER'S contribution was his holp in ellaying the passivity of many of our women comrades, who, up to now hed likewise not graspod their special rosponsibility to the masscs of women.
