press in late April:

Dozens of support vessels with ammunition and
other supplies
Four years after promising to get the U.S. out of Southeast
Asia, Nixon has ordered bombings more massive than ever
before. Under the hoax of protecting American troop with-
drawals, Haiphong and Hanoi are being brutally pounded.
Clergy & Laymen Concerned reacted at once to this latest
monstrous assault by helping to organize the May 4 Mora-
torium, and by recruiting people to come to Washington on
May 10 and 1] to urge the president and other elected offi-
cials to end the war.
Long recognizing the lie that the war is ending, CALC has
in recent months launched several new campaigns. AMER-
ICAN REPORT RADIO is a four-minute, six-day-a-week
program that is heard on more than 300 stations around
the country. With heavy emphasis on the continuing war
success. We have been given free advertising material
worth more than a million dollars. Radio and TV spots,
contributed by men and women in advertising agencies,
have béen placed - without charge - on more than i060 tele-
vision and 400 radio stations, including 'The Today Show'!
and "The Dick Cavett Show'' in a major West Coast city.
Other ads, also donated, have appeared in such diverse
publications as Business Week, Playboy, and Soul. 240:
