Bob Green, white male, who stated tnat war is morally
wrong and that he could not cooperate with the draft. He said
he rejects Selective Service and paying taxes.
William Schauman, 36-107-45-421, said he thought this
(the rally) was really great.
Tony Avirgan said he had come to the conclusion that
war is wrong and that he must actively do everything he can do
to make sure there is no more killing.
Richard Sloat who said he was 1-Y.
Richard T. Williams, Negro male, said he was surprised
and embarrassed by one thing - he did not see enough of his
black brothers here. He said there a lot of his black brothers
over there, and he wanted to see more here. He then asked for
matches. He was joined by one Negro and one white youth
(Frank Fe™.a) and burned what appeared to be their draft cards
before the audience.
Jerry D. Coffin, white male, stated that like my
brothers just did today, I am going to destroy my card because
I can't in any way cooperate with the Selective Service. He
then read a prepared statement, a copy of which follows:
