During the investigation of the NORJAK case
and specifically the ground search in the vicinity of
Woodland, Washington, the services of a large number of
police officers were utilized in the search.
In addition, Mr. JOE MAY, the Chief of Police
Woodland, furnished his own aircraft, flew it himself€ to
assist in the search.

The purchase of gasoline was for MAY's aircraft.
The food purchased was for the officers who were assisting
in engaging in the search. They had no means of being
reimbursed from their own funds.
