Salem, Oregon, after visiting an area previously which is located approximately Oregon, returned to this site wo members of the Oregon State Police (OSP). She had asked the OSP to accompany her because on the first visit . she had observed a tent and bits of paraphernalia to indicate someone was living at the abandoned home site. The land is presently owned by the Georgia Pacific Company, and you are supposed to have permission before you can enter the area. The second trip was on 3/25/72, and as on the first occasion, She did not observe the individual who was living at the old homestead. The OSP determined that one person was living in a tent with no items of identification located. : On $/31/72,[ , Oregon, advised that two o ied Oregon, on 3/25/72, and determined that an unknown individual had been living at an abandoned home site for a short period of time, probably less than two weeks. Items of clothing, and of a personal nature were found in a tent, and appeared to belong to a young adult. ee that his men had surmised that the e . camp s elonged to students on Spring vacation, There was no indication whatsoever to indicate that the individual was a fugitive from justice, or involved in any lllegal activities, and the camp site had d e en set . up within a week or ten days, pointed out that the entire Linn County mountain aréa was full of young b6 b7c b6é b7¢c people and hippie-types living in tents and shacks, and /¢ -9/-49/9 ; CHED nen tNBEXED, APRS 1972 THLE.
