The enclosed newspaper articles describe the first attempted skyjacking that involved the use of parachutes. It is noted the skyjacking occurred approximately twelve days before NORJAK. The skyjacker was apprehended by the crew of an Air Canada DC8. He was apprehended because he did not have a clear plan of action when he boarded the plane.
