The following investigation was conducted by a be b7C 0 ri 1 1so es Noines, Towa, phone was contacted at her request and advised as follows: In late November of 197k, she observed a newspaper article arpage 10, section 1, Chicago Tribune, Sunday, November 2lt, 197, which carried a story captioned, "D. Be Cooper, $200,000 Leap Still a Mystery" with Portland, Oregon, date line. This article concerned the skyjacking of the Northwest Orient Airlines plane on Thanksgiving Eve of 1971. A part of this article carried a portion of amap and copy of "FBI artist 1971 Composit Sketch of D. Be COOPER." After first seeing the article and the sketch in this particular article, she immediately had a feeling she knew the person involved, but did not have the nerve to call the FBI or anyone else at that time. On several subsequent occasions, she intended to call the FBI and finally about 6:00 pem., April 4, 1975, she decided to contact the FBI at Davenport, Iowa, but got no response so while she still had the courage, then called the Portland, Oregon, Office.
