For the information of Atlanta, the president of HMorthwest Orient Airlines has previously offered a finder's fee of $25,000 total reward or 15% of any portion of the recovered ransom money. In addition, the Seattle "Post~ Intelligencer" newspaper has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of UNSUB. Finally, a Portland newspaper has offered a $1,000 reward for the first $20 bill belonging to the D. B. COOPER ransom money, to be turned in to that newspaper. To date, these are the only rewards being offered in this matter, and there has been no guarantee by any of the people offering the rewards that they would not be withdrawn at any time.
