Having met with[__ in the
Green Mountain area, southwest of Ariel, Washington, I was dir-
ected by to an area about in a
heavily wooded area. He-pointed out a pair of tattered pants
hanging from a small.bush and stated these were the pants he
had located about October22 or2%3, 1976, when he was hunting b6
deer in the area.
The pants were identified and placed in a small plastic
bag. The immediate area was walked’ over and examined but nothing
was observed except for the debri of the forests. Nothing was
seen that would indicate anyone had been in the area as there
‘was no sign of any material in the area.
The sight was marked for future search and the pants
were taken to the Portland office of the FBI where they were
prepared for shipment to the FBI Laboratory, Washington, D.C.
