DU BOIS was one of the Americans elected to the praesidium of the Worid Peace Congress at Warsaw, Poland. The "Amsterdam News" dated April 21, 1951, page 17, zclum 7, carried an article which stated that a committee for the defense of Doctor W.E.B. DU BOIS had been organized by several New Yorkers to "render assistance to the defendants" now under Federal indictment. The article states that Doctor DU BOIS and five of his co-workers in the now defunct Peace Information Center were indicted in Februery for failing to file under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and that this cormittee will seek tc have the indictments dropped, 37 - COREE NTR.
