The "New York World Telegram" newspaper, issue
of march 27, 1956, pace 1, contained an article reporting

had impounded the assets and property of the CP headquarters
and the "Drily Worker" at New York City and padlocked the
premises of each on March 27, 1956, for failure to pay
back income taxes.
The "Daily Worker" issue of March 29, 1956,

the formation of the Emergency Committee for a Free Press

condemning the seizure of the offices and property of the

statement listed several individuals as signers thereto,
including Dr. VW. 2. B. DUBOIS.
