stated that he had been employed by various railroads as a telegrapher
and had beoome interested in the Workers Alliance in 1932 when he was
out of work, and had aleo become interested in the National Economic
Welf Federation and Civil Emergency Federation. He said that he had
werner claimed to have had conferences
with President and Mrs. ROOSEVELT and FRANCESAPERKINS of the Labor
Department regarding the Workers Alliance. He said he left the Workers
Alliance in 1937 because it became Communistic. He also alleged member-
ship on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Commonwealth Federation,
which was known to be Communist dominated,

of the Spanish Refugee Relief Campaign.
