Forney stated to Bissell that the facta of this investigation
had been disclosed to the White House through sone unknown means and
that shortly after Bissell left, a call was received by General
Strong and Colonel Forney to proceed to the White House with the
complete records of thia matter at approrinately 10:00 p.m. at ntght.
When they reached the White House they were received by the President,
General Watson and Harry Hopkins and were ordered to produce the
entire records in this case. Colonel Forney stated to Colonel Bissell
that this was ertremely embarrassing in as much aa ¢% r
contained a recording of the enttre proceedings
Mrs. Roosevelt which had been obtained through a

et clearly that Mrs. Roosevel ngaged in serual intercourse

approrimately 5:00 a.m. the nert morning the President called for
home General Arnold, Chief of the Arm Pr and upon his arrival

After the conference was over tt was learned that the Prestdent
had ordered that anybody who knew anything about this case should be
tmmediately relieved of hia duties and sent to the South Pacific for
ae action against the Japs until they were killed. Forney advised
anne Bissell that everyone who ts known to have any knowledge at all of
eo this matter is on the permanent black list at the White House.
Bissell stated that the only thing that kept these men from being
sent to the South Pacific was that tt was learned that there were
too many of them to be treated tn this manner. Colonel Bissell
stated that the only reason that more was not done to him was that
at General Watson apparently came to hia defense and assured the
—— President that Bissell would not talk about this matter indiscrininatel;
