(>) Statements of Functions of Pield Organization Units, The
type of statement or report that will be of most valuc to the Board
is one that shows the duties cf each ficld organization (scrvioo,
Station, officc, and especially subdivision) as such, drrespective
of the work of any individual employed therein. The description of
the work performed by the field organization as a unit should be so
arranged as to proceed from the gencral to the particular with in-
creasing detail as cach successively smiller subdivision is considered.
Tor 4, So far as practionble this material should be propated and col- —
jected during the period required to prepare and cclicct the questionnaires,
but in case a choice has to be made, thé preparation and submission of the
questionnaires should be given priority.
