MM 1920-118 UNSUBS; ATTEMPTED ROBBERY OF WELLS a! FARGO ARMORED TRUCK, ~ 7930 S.W 104TH STREET, - MIAMI, FLORIDA . 10/16/85; HA-AC (00: MIAMI) At approximately 12:30 p.m., a Wells Fargo armored truck pulled into a shopping center parking lot and stopped in front of a supermarket. Two armed guards got out and entered the supermarket to make a money pickup while the driver remained in the truck. As the guards exited and turned toward the truck, they heard someone yell “Freeze]" they started turn toward the sound, an individual opened fire? ‘Whotgun. As the car drove away wf the parking lot, additional shots were fired at the ermored €9MR personnel; some witnesses reported one individual was standing inside the vehicle and firing a shoulder weapon through an open sunroof. Two hulis from 12 guage 00 buek 12 pellet loads were found on the ground, along with two .45 cartridge cases. A copper jacket, probably from a .45 projectile was found about 100 feet away, and some type of projectile flattened the left rear tire and shattered the tail light of a parked car. A car parked immediately behind the armored truck had the passenger's side windows blown out by shotgun pellets ricocheting off pipe stanchions, but the female passenger inside was unhurt. Witnesses gave varying descriptions of the subjects, but it appears that subject who fired the shotgun was a male, possibly black, taller than average, and wearing a ski mask. He was dressed in dark or black clothing with long sleeves and trousers. No descriptions were obtained of the others inside the vehicle.
