Tt is noted that the Leboratory conducted document
examinations under Technical Laboratory numbers 35899, 37402 and 39705.
It is requested that the Laboratory compare the handwriting appearing
under numbers 37402 and 39705 with the specimens enclosed herewith and
compare, if possible, the typewriting of 35899 with the questioned type~
writing specimen enclosed herewith, which begins “as you Perhaps" and
continues to the second page which begins "Talk, as a Proswades". in
this connection, it might be noted that the New York Office has not |
received a report of the examination of t tioned specimen (set
out in full in report of Special Agen’ dated 5/9/40 at New
York City) dated December 28, 1939, whi eg %g Few lines to you
Blind", ‘This specimen also should be compared with the typewritten
specimens mentioned above.
Tt 4s noted that the Single Fingerprint Section stated
in Bureau letter to the New York Officedated June 12, 1940 (Bureau file
62=55640) that four of the photographed fingerprint impressions submitted
were of value for comparison purposes. In Bureau letter to the New York
Office dated January 10, 1941 (Bureau file 9-7088) the Single Fingerprint
Section stated that two fingerprint impressions of value for comparison
purposes had been developed. It is requested that a comparison be made
between these two sets of latent impressions.

It has been learned from the New York City office of the
United States Secret Service that the writer of these letters has
addressed numerous letters of a similar nature to President Roosevelt,
and as a result of this investigation the original letters in possession
of the Secret Service at Washington, D. C. have been consolidated into
Secret Service file WH-10607-S.
