According to the August 9, 1960, edition of the
"Evening Star," a daily newspaper published in Washington,
D. C., subject is scheduled to go on trial in Moscow, Union
of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) on charges of espionage
on August 17, 1960. Subject was the pilot of a U-2 plane
which the Soviets claim they shot down over Sverdlovsk, USSR,
on May 1, 1960.
