FEDERAL TORT CLAIMS ACT
On January 24, 1979, Departmental Attorneys Cecilia
Hatfield and Herbert Lyons, Chief Torts Branch, Civil Division,
ived in Las Vegas, Nevada, and met with Supervisor Robert
ML “Bryatit and Special Agent Michael T. Hanley. During the
above meeting, a request was made by Hatfield to analyze business,
books and records made available by Jet Avia, Ltd., on
January 25, 1979, and make a determination of which records
would require detailed examination. The detailed examination
is required to determine the correctness and
civil claim against the Government regarding
lease agreement with Jet Avia and the loss of use of the aircraft.
On January 25, 1979, the above analysis was performed
and it was mutually agreed upon by Hatfield, Lyons and Jet Avia
that records requiring detailed examination would be set aside
bIc for Xeroxing. Hatfield was to be notified when these records
would be turned over to the Government for their examination.
Examination of those records set aside will be performed
