All of the mail received with the exception of one pigce pas peer contained jn of one ntained fate t?- Watat-T~aee. ts the AYU AMOS [Le rs which was postmarked October 11, 1969, and the only letter known to have been pos tmarked that ‘date, contains a message on the back of a paperback book cover of “Sinatra and His Rat Pack" by RICHARD GEHMAN. The letter continues on a thank u_card of the Illinois Security Company and is Signed This letter in effect demands that FRANK purchase eleven million dollars in unmounted diamonds for two million dollars before Christmas, 1969, or the writer will kill SINATRA, with the alternative being that SINATRA donate two million dollars to the Vatican in Rome, Italy. The additional letters received at the Flamingo Hotel are as follows: {1} Letter postmarked October 12, 1969, Joliet, illinois, addressed to "Flamingo Hotei, The Owne rs and. Frank Sinatra, Las Vegas, Nevada", This envelope contained a e haddwritten letter to an individual named pit unknown to Las Vegas Division of Flamingo ra] s) and is rambling and refers to FRANK SINATRA bic. aitet wit Bt, 1H4 SJ e@:i’ 4.25 45.2 and the Kennedys. (2) Letter postmarked October 12, 1969, Joliet, Illinois, to "Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas, "Nevada, " with notation at bottom of envelope indicating “Owners of — sonal", This letter begins addressed to and again is mnbling and incoherent and refers to a "DOROTHY,SINATRA, makes reference to WALTER CRONKITE, as well as "HAYNSWORTH", and probably President NIXON, The “envelope also contained a color transparency (35mm) not further identified, -2- gb ee Se Se en ay eee lige
