He International Workers Order
During May, 1945, the International Workers Order reportedly
issued 5,000 copies of a four-page pamphlet entitled "Thoughts of an
American" which highlighted excerpts of an Raeniare made by Frank Sinatra
at a World Youth Rally on March 21, 195, in which he condemned racial
and religious discrimination, This rally had been sponsored by the
American Youth for a Free World, supra. In addition it was reported
that the IWO planned to issue a second edition of 25,000 copies of
Sinatra's speech.

The Attorney General has cited the International Workers
Order.
The May 8, 195, issue of "Narodni Glasnik", Croatian Communist
publication, ran an article which reflected that an open letter was sent
to the Croatian Beneficial Brotherhood Lodge of the IWO urging support of
the "I am an American Day" which was to be held on May 20, 1945. The
article reflected that the IWO offered numerous pamphlets to be used for
this occasion including one by Frank Sinatra entitled "The Idea of American
which was offered at the rate of sixty cents for 100 copies.

The 1948 report of the California Committee on Un-American
Activities stated "Narodni Glasnik" to be among publications which the
Committee found to be Commmnist initiated and controlled, or so strongly
influenced as to be in the Stalin solar system."

the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee, Frank Sinatra "recently" contribut
$100 to the organization in response to a request for a contribution.
