The column of Hobert C. ituark, “sashinston Sens,"
Washington, lL. C., issue of February 20, 1947, reported
thet Frank Sinatra had been in Havana, Cuba, for four days
during the previous week and that "his companion in
public and in private was Luciano, Lucieno's bodyzuard and
a rich collection of gamblera and high-binders,. The
article indicated that. Luciano and Sinstra were seen
together at the race tracks, the gambling casino and at
special parties, (39-2142A; 62-83219-10)
The column of Westbrook Pegler, “As Pesler sees
It," in the "New York Journal American," issue of
September 10, 1947, carried a caption "Publicity would
Re-Shine Sinatra's Reputation." It is set forth in this
article that a campaign of propeganda has been running
in the presa,; the macatinas and on the radio te
rehabilitate Frank Sinatra, whose reputation was impaired
“last winter” when Sinatra was observed associating with
notorious persons in Cuba including Charles "Lucky
Lucfane "the deported Italian eriminal who naa served part
of a long term in New York for prostituting women" aud
who "{s a geugster in the Al Capone tradition and is
associated with the narcotica trade as well as with

issue of 9/10/47)
The solumn of Wasthrook Pegler in the "?Lass
Herald,” Washington, D. C., lsaue of september 11, 1917,
sets forth that when Frank Sinatra flew to Havana, Cuba,
on February 11, 1547, he was accompanied by Joe and heocco
Fisenetti. According to the article “the fischetti'a sre
related to the Capones and have many interests fn gomton ~
with the Capone gang." +,

Weatbrook Pegler in his column which was printed
in the "Hew York Journal American," issue of Septenber 12,
IGhk7, which wae cantioned "Tella of Paresite Hoodlums of
| Hollywood,” set forth that Willie Moretti, alias willie
Moore, underworld boss of Hergen County, New Jersey, was a
friend of Frank Sinatra. The article stated that "{t was in
Bergen County that Sinatra was arrested in 193% on a charge
