stated that Frank Sinatra,who apparently joined the ranks of former

Los Angeles report dated 12/15/48 regarding Artie Shaw
(100-358890) stated that Shaw signed several telegrams along with
communists and known fellow travelers which were sent to Frank Sinatra
at the time (no date) he was advised he was to be honored by the "Salute
to Young America Committee" with a special award. Shaw also delivered -
speeches and presented some of the awards’ on the occasion tHe awards ;
were given, The Salute to Young America Committee was one of the
