Subways’ Rights
tn one of the biggest pre-Broadway-
production deals for film rights, and
probably the first time an individual
film producer has obligated himself to
pay such a high sum for a motion pic-
ture property, Frank Sinatra is paying
$1,000,000 for the upcoming stage
musical, “Subways Ace for Sleeping,” -
due to open on Broadway this fall. Deal
includes rights to the original cast al-
bum, plus singles, to be put out under
Sinatra's Reprise Records labet. Part of
