Several demonstrations have occurred in Chicago protesting the death of Hampton. BPP Headquarters issued press release that Chicago police murdered Hampton in bed, Attached letter from the Civil Rights Division, which enclosed copy of telegram to Attorney General from officials of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, requests preliminary investigation.
