The envelope was addressed to BBC DODGE, 14650 lst South, Seattle, Wa. 98168, and was postmarked October 17, 197 7, at Seattle, Washington. The envelope contained two communiques. One was dated October 16, 1977, and was signed “Love and Struggle, The George Jackson Brigade". This communique contained a fingerprint in the lower right hand corner labeled "John wW. Sherman's right thumbprint". The second communique was. entitled, "BUST THE BOSSES, George Jackson Brigade Communique", and was signed, "Love and Struggle, The George Jackson Brigade, October 12, 1977".
