Communist League or some similar orzerization had varticizated in the formation of the American, Youth for Democracy. I, therefore, called the voung lady who asked me to become a sponsor for vne dinner, ot the organization, and asted her if there was any truta in the assertion that the American Youth for Democracy *as com- munistic in either origin or intent. She, advised me that it vas not in any manner, shave, or form communistic although some members of the Young Communist League had at one time pelonged. She told me that they were affiliated with many church groups. I was also advised py her that the organi- zation encouraged young oeople to narticinate in government and that 4t fought racial intolerance and religious bisotry. I would consider it a pleasure to discuss with you at length organizations such as this. You have fougnt end died for a terrific cause, but the real fight has now begun.
