Following a talk with Brown on 9/14/54, SAC, San Francisco, noted that Brown does not appear to be avery "' deep individual." Relations have been generally cordial with him, but in June, 1954, he was somewhat critical of the compilation methods of the UCR. He was subsequently set straight on this topic.
