~ On October 8, 1953, Mr. JOSEPH COSTELLO, Owner of the Ace Cab
Company, 19th and Washington Avenues, advised a that records
of this company indicate that at approximately 1:90 pem., Uctdber 6, 1953, lb 1c
their dispatcher received a call from an individual who gave her name as
Viss G'DAY and stated she was at 1000 Hampton Avenve or the Yankee Grill. ;
The dispatcher directed Ace Cab 15), which was operated on that date by | I
ESTE, to that address. COSTELLO advised that DRESTE, an extra

DRESTE at his residence, DRESTE admitted driving
SANDRA O'DAY from St. Louis to Kansas City on October 6, 1953, in his
personally owned automobile, a 1949 4-door Chevrolet Sedan; black in color
bearing Missouri license 566-07. This automobile which was parked in the
front of DRESTE'S residence was searched by the contacting agents and
nothing was found therein pertinent to this investigation.
DRESTE accompanied the above agents to the St. Louis Office and was
fingerprinted and photographed. He furnished the following signed statement
concerning his complete activities in connection with SANDRA O'DAYs

"My name is HERMAN JOSEPH DRESTE. I was born in St. Louis,
Missouri on February 26, 1912. I am married and have a daughter,
age nines I have been in the employee of the Ace Cab Company, St.
Louis, as a substitute cab driver for about three years.
: "YJ wish to state that on October 6, 1953, about noon I received
a radio call from the Ace Cab Company dispatcher to pick up a. fara
at the Yankee Grill, 1000 Hampton. Upon arrival at the Yankee Grill
I went to the door and was met by a female whose photograph I have
recently seen in the St. Louis Post Dispatch ang whom I identify
as SANDRA O'DAY. SANDRA O’DAY told me that she wanted me to take
