Would the FBI be in an untenable 4 position if an informant came to us with information relative to the subjects’ location and, as a result of our action, Patty Hearst was killed? Mr. Mintz said there was no inconsistency involved. He pointed out quite clearly that the FBI has a responsibility to do whatever is necessary in the fulfillment of its responsibilities and in this particular case, the fulfillment of our responsibilities is to locate and apprehentttke subjects.
