The attached letter may be of significance in the
subject investigation, and the results of the Laboratory ¢ex-
amination may prove beneficial in identifying the writer..
The following Laboratory cxaminations are requested:
(1) Will conduct latent fingerprint examination of
envelope and enclosed letter with subsequent comparison to
other prints submitted in subject case, as well as print sub-
mitted in the Oakland PD, MARCUS FOSTER murder.
2) Will conduct examination in attempt to deter-
mine unique qualities of the paper.
(3) Will attompt to identify make and model of tlie
utilized typewriter and any unique qualities of the type. Ad-
tionally, compare type with other evidence previously submitted
in subject case and the MARCUS FOSTER murder.
(4) In the event latent fingerprints arc developed,
San Francisco will consider the subuission of names of Vence-
remos Organization members and other appropriate individuals
for subsequent comparison.
(5} Will conduct any other examination deemed neces-
sary and relevant to subject investigation.
The envelope of the previously-described letter is
dated and initialled by‘ in the lower rear
right hand corner. |
Anonymous letter should-be held by FBI Laboratory
for future comparison.
