Result of examination:
The typewriting on Q43 and QS4 is the same style of
type as the typewriting on Q41 and Q&2, previously submitted,
which were found to correspond to Laboratory standards for
a Setag pica style of type, spaced 250 millimeters per one
hundred characters. This style of type is used on typewriters
manufactured under brand names including Calanda, Hermes, Japy,
and Princess. Althgapnh some characteristics in common were
observed in comparing the typewriting on Q42 and Q43 with the
typewriting on Q4)] and Q42, a definite conclusion was not
’ peached whether these Stems were prepared by the same typewriter
due to the lack of a sufficient number of individual identifying
characteristics.
No typewriting on items previously submitted in this —
case or in case captioned "SYMBIONESE LIBERATION ARMY (SLA) EM"
Was determined to correspond to this style of type.
A watermark reading “Erasable Bond 25% Cotton Content"
appears on Q44, Watermarks of this type are registered to the
Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Neenah, Wisconsin. Q43 and Q44
contain no other watermarks, indented writing of significance
or other characteristics to aid in definitely determining their
source. An eight cent U.S. Postal Service stamp, torn from a
roll of atamps, is affixed to Q43.
