Harrington of our Press Office was waiting at the Public Information Office (PIO) of the Department for Mr. Saxbe's clarification of his unfortunate remarks ‘regarding the Hearst kidnaping made at a press conference yesterday morning, representatives of PIO expressed glee at the consternation of the Bureau in trying to respond to press inquiries generated by the AG's remarks at the conference. It was clear to Harrington that they were enjoying the possible problems createc between the AG and the Bureau and the uncomfortable position the AG had placed the Bureau in by this unfortunate situation.
