It is obvious that the victim exhibited stress in. ‘certain areas of the tapes and Mr. Mallicoat'’s observations may be of general investigative value. It should be pointed out, however, that this ‘technigqge has not been validated and is purely subjective impressions by _ the exaffliner: Recent findings of an extensive Army study of PSE indicate clear inferiority of volgp analysis in its present state of development not -only to the polygraph bat also to judgments made on the basis of simply observing subject’sbehavior.
