He further stated there was an SLA group operating out of Folsom Prison, This Bureau's San Francisco Division has been instructed to vigorously pursue investigation in attempt to further <dlevelop the above information as well as to determine edditional deta pertinent to your request. This information will be furnished to you on its receipt by FBI Headquarters. You may be assured thet any information developed by this Bureau concerning groups and individuals involved in creating discentent and disorder among prisoners in the United States will @lso be furnished to ycu. NOTE: Referenced memorandum makes reference to a 2/13/74 conference between representatives of the Criminal Division of the Department and supervisory personnel of our San Francisco Divisicn wherein it was requested the Bureau, while conducting investigation: in the Hearst kidnapping and SLA cases, be alert to information showing connections between suspected members of the SLA and individuals or groups seeking the radicalization or politicization of prisoners, Information already in our possession (which is not verified or in form for. dissemination) being furnished to the Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, at this time. Instructions to further develop such data being set forth to \San Francisco separately.
