KPFA Radio Announcer, telephonically contacted Mr. RANDOLPH HEARST on telephone number 343-0011. He stated he had a tans which KPFA had received in the mail. This tape was postmarked New York and the voice on it was a Negro male, possiciy of pomai can n ancestry. Mr. HEARST thereafter requested tnat GSEPHSON play the tape over the telephone so that he could listen to it. SOSEPHSON played the tape and following is a partial excerption. from the tape: On February 16, 1974, an individual who identified himself as an assistant to Field Marshal CINQUE stated he had a communication and orders for Mr. HEARST. He stated Mr. HEARST ‘should go to New York City. by either United or Brani€f Airlines| and arrive there on February 27, 1974. Mr. HEARST was thereafte instructed to check into the Commodore Hotel in New York City. He was next instructed to go to a Radio Shack and purchase a. Tumica (phonetic) - ‘EM transistor ban radio and set it on. channel 146.41. At 8:30 p.m. on February 27, 1974, Mr. HEARST was to go to a heliport in New York City and rent a helicopter and also a pilot. At exactly 8:45 p.m. he is to get into the helicopter with the pilot and no one else and fiy toward Grand Ami (phonetic) and Prospect in Brooklyn. He was to then switch the radio on to 146.41 and use the code name “ROGUE” and to call the ground station which would use the code name "DANNY BOY". Mr. HEARST is to call “ROGUE to DANNY BOY" two times and then expect an answer from the ground ‘station. The ground station will direct the helicopter pilot :to go towards his headquarters. The in@ividual then. stated this was the last warning Mr. HEARST would get and that if he did net obey the instructions, he would sent PATRICIA's body C.0.D. to him. He aliso stated the helicopter would land in a safe place anda be inspect Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) members.
