My memorandum of 3/12/74 advised that br. “Murray Miron,
me
a professor at Syracuse University who is considered an expert on aN
computer analysis, contacted FBI Headquarters and advised that he had
conducted a computer analysis on‘one of the tapes received in this case. Ex.
Dr. Miron advised that he had mailed his analysis to FBI Headquarters.
My memorandum of 3/19/74 set forth results of this analysis, By letter °
dated 3/19/74 we advised the Attorney General of our contact with Dr. Miron.
;. Dr. Miron was furnished a copy of each of the four tapes _ ae
received in this case in order that he could conduct a computer analysis. é
At 4:00 p.m. today Dr. Miron advised that he has completed his computer,
analysis of the four fapes and on Wednesday, 4/3/74, would fly down i
from Syracuse to Washington, D. C., to make available the results of _
_ his analysis of these tapes. He said he would be agreeable to discussing
his method and input with the FBI Laboratory and Computer Systems
Division in addition to furnishing his analysis to the supervisors handling
the HEARNAP case,
