BILL HARRIS told WEINER that he was not shoplifting at the sports store in Los Angeles, but when the security guard at the store attempted to frisk him, HARRIS feared his handgun would be found and a shoving match resulted with the guard. BILL HARRIS told WEINER this resulted in PATRICIA HEARST shooting the front of the sports store from the van ‘ when he and EMILY HARRIS escaped. PATRICIA HEARST told WEINE’ that she "shot up" the front of the store guring BILL HARRIS” escape from the guard. a When the SCOTTs and WEINER were about to depart the farmhouse that night, EMILY HARRIS hugged WEINER and "almost apologized" to him for placing WEINER in an unfair position now that he knew their true identities and their whereabouts. WEINER, JACK and MICKI SCOTT departed the house for New York City at approximately 10:30 p.m. to 1] p.m. on July 2, 1974. JACK SCOTT left the red Volkswagen with New Jersey license plates at the famand they traveled to New Yor’ ey a late model light blue Pinto or Vega with California lice\se plates. During the ride back to New York City, WEINER believed JACK and MICKI SCOTT “staged” an argument hetween themselves regarding the so called Weathermen fugitives stealing gums. WEINER believed the argument was "staged" to impress upon him the seriousness of his knowledge concerning the whereabouts of PATRICIA HEARST, BILL and EMILY HARRIS. WEINER and the SCOTTs arrived in New York City at about 3 a.m. on July 3, 1974, and WEINER took the 3:30 a.m. train to his residence in Long Beach, New York. , wre a ee EER Ee ”
